B1 - A DISCIPLE!
B1 is designed to help you be one - a disciple. At the core is a session to help us all understand the Great Commandments which are at the heart of our faith and our growth. BEGIN will introduce basic Christian concepts, beliefs and practices. BELIEVE examines the beliefs of MCC, will help you clarify your beliefs and formulate your personal faith statement. BELONG explores the importance of belonging to the community of faith and the challenges and opportunities with those relationships. BECOME encourages us to expand our transformation as we become maturing disciples.

B1 - At the Heart! -Saturday, January 31st 9:30am At the heart of our faith are the core commands named by Jesus to love God, love our neighbor and ourselves. All of the law and prophets are summarized in the Great Commandments. This is the beginning place of our discipleship. We are drawn and driven by love. Our inner spiritual growth and our outreach in service and sharing of our faith all emerge from the heart of love. Anchor your spiritual journey to B1 "At the Heart"! Lunch will be available for $5 following this class. Register online or at the church.

Sacred Moments - Understanding the Sacraments - Saturday, January 31st 1pm Have you ever wondered why they do what they do? For instance, in baptism, why do some people dunk and some people sprinkle, and why do some people say it's ok to baptize children and some do not? Concerning communion, what's the difference between Eucharist and Communion or the Lord's Supper? What do people mean when they say "Open Communion"? And what's the difference between a sacrament and a rite? And just what is a sacrament anyway?  "Sacred Moments - Understanding the Sacraments" orients Christians of all traditions (and no tradition at all) to some of the practices that are unique to the Christian faith and will illuminate their importance and function. As members of MCC, understanding better why others "do what they do" helps us to understand better why we "do what we do."

Helpful Prerequisites: None! Come as you are believing as you do! Lunch will be available for $5 prior to this class. Register online or at the church. Register for lunch only $5.
